The TEXAS PRIMARY ELECTIONS determine who is on the ballot in November and which issues will be the most important to winning candidates during the next several years.

Will YOUR VOTE be counted?

WHY YOUR VOTE MATTERS

Decide Who Represents You: Your vote in March selects candidates for November's elections. As many districts are not competitive, the vote in March will decide who serves in Congress, the state legislature and local offices.

Amplify Your Impact: With low turnout in past primaries, your vote carries more weight. A small percentage of voters can impact future state policies by demonstrating with their vote what issues are most important to them.

Easy Voting Process: Texas voter registration and ID are required and there is a two-week early voting period, just like in the November elections. The difference is when you arrive at a polling location, you choose the party primary to vote in — no party membership is required.
